Monthly flea market on the Allées de Bussac in Nontron, capital of the Périgord vert
Every first Saturday of the month (except August), the Allées de Bussac in Nontron transform into a friendly flea and second-hand market. Organized by the association La P'tite Brocante, this event brings together less than 50 exhibitors, both individuals and professionals, offering trinkets, tableware, antique furniture, decorative objects, and various items.
Nontron, a sub-prefecture of the Dordogne, is a small town of character perched on a rocky spur overlooking the Bandiat. Known for its famous Nontron knife, the oldest folding knife in France, and for the Pôle Expérimental des Métiers d'Art (Experimental Center for Crafts), the town is the beating heart of the Périgord vert. The Allées de Bussac, a shaded promenade lined with plane trees, offers a pleasant setting for strolling and treasure hunting.
The flea market is open to visitors from 8 am to 3 pm, with exhibitors able to set up from 7 am. The pitch is offered at 3 euros per linear meter. Restrooms and parking are available nearby. The relaxed atmosphere of the Allées de Bussac is conducive to discovering unique pieces, from antique objects to more recent items.
From Périgueux, take the D939 then the D675 towards Nontron (approx. 45 minutes). From Angoulême, take the N141 then the D675 (approx. 50 minutes).
