The weekend of May 16-17, 2026 looks busy for bargain hunters in the Somme département. More than 19 flea markets, garage sales and fairs are scheduled between Amiens, the Bay of Somme and the Vimeu area. Over 800 stallholders combined across the two days.
What atmosphere should you expect? The réderie season is in full swing. Locals really empty their attics in spring. Pros target Amiens and Salouël. Wanderers prefer the villages.

Saturday May 16 — the Amiens day
Les Puces Amiénoises at Jardin Dufau — at the foot of the cathedral
This is the heritage event of Saturday. Les Puces Amiénoises takes over Jardin Dufau, right at the foot of the Notre-Dame d'Amiens Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site. About twenty professional brokers, antique dealers, vintage clothing sellers and booksellers gather there.

Mussel kermess and spring fair in Abbeville — port tradition
Original and tasty. The Abbeville Mussel Kermess, run by the Amicale Saint-Jacques, occupies the port for two days. Saturday evening: mussels-and-fries dinner under a marquee plus a show. Sunday morning from 8am: flea market and garage sale.

Grande Réderie of Saint-Acheul — 200 to 300 stallholders in Amiens
The major event of the weekend. The Grande Réderie du quartier Saint-Acheul is one of the largest spring events in Picardy. 200 to 300 stallholders, private and professional, set up across the streets of the oldest district of Amiens.

23rd Réderie de Ponthoile — bargain hunting in the Bay of Somme
For those who want to combine bargain hunting and a stroll. The 23rd Réderie de Ponthoile takes place in this Marquenterre village, next to Saint-Valéry-sur-Somme. Well-established tradition, opens at dawn.

Plan B if Saint-Acheul is saturated. The Pont-de-Metz garage sale brings together about 200 stallholders in the streets of this commune bordering Amiens. Rue du Pont, rue de l'Eau, place René Aviez: you walk along several axes.
