Every year in May, Sains-en-Amiénois — a town of about 1,900 inhabitants 10 km south of Amiens — organizes its annual réderie. Run by the local Animation Committee, the event has become a must on the spring calendar for Amiens bargain hunters. With 180 private exhibitors, it is among the medium-sized réderies.

The réderie is exclusively open to private individuals, giving it its authentic character: residents clear their attics and offer their forgotten treasures. Tableware, family clothes, toys, books and comics, vinyls, tools, trinkets, small furniture, sports items: the range is wide and prices remain accessible.

Sains-en-Amiénois has a strategic location: close to the Amiens metropolis (10 minutes by car) yet set in an authentic rural landscape. Its church, red brick houses and quiet streets make it a pleasant setting. The event takes place around 20 rue de la Vierge.

Opening at dawn for early birds

Special feature: opening at 6:30am for exhibitors and first visitors. This is when professional bargain hunters make their first round, with headlamps. For serious hunters, the ideal time to spot the best pieces before the crowd.

Bring a flashlight, small cash, a sturdy bag, and a warm pullover. Park in village streets. The Committee's refreshment bar serves coffee and croissants.
