The great Bay of Somme réderie, 23 years of tradition
The 23rd Ponthoile Réderie continues a fine tradition rooted in the festive heritage of the Bay of Somme. This Marquenterre village, near Saint-Valéry-sur-Somme, welcomes bargain hunters from dawn for a day of displaying in an exceptional natural setting. Private and professional exhibitors offer bric-à-brac, tableware, clothes, books, toys and trinkets in an authentic Picardy atmosphere.
The Ponthoile Réderie celebrates its 23rd edition in 2026. Born in the early 2000s, it has become one of the most faithful spring rendezvous in the Bay of Somme. Organized in this Marquenterre village, it gathers each year a growing number of exhibitors and visitors.
The term "réderie", typically Picardy, designates this popular form of flea market where private individuals and enthusiasts display in village streets. In Ponthoile, tradition is fully expressed: old tableware, porcelain, vintage clothing, toys, books, old papers, postcards, comics, vinyls, tools and trinkets of all kinds are displayed.
The village of Ponthoile, nestled at the entrance to the Marquenterre, enjoys a privileged location: just a few kilometres from the Marquenterre ornithological park, Saint-Valéry-sur-Somme and Le Crotoy, at the heart of the Bay of Somme, one of the world's most beautiful bays. Visitors can combine morning bargain hunting with an afternoon walk in the bay, seal watching, or visiting the ornithological park.
With 23 editions, the Ponthoile réderie has built its reputation on the quality of its welcome. The refreshment bar and catering offer local products and Picardy specialities.
The village being small, arrive early to park nearby. Professional hunters start as early as 6-7am. Bring cash.
