Car boot sale of the Cran pardon and bread festival at the Notre-Dame de Cran chapel, Treffléan
The association Les Amis de la Chapelle de Cran is organizing a free car boot sale as part of the pardon of the Notre-Dame de Cran chapel. The event takes place on Sunday from 9 am to 6 pm in the hamlet of Cran, 3 km from the village of Treffléan. Alongside the car boot sale, visitors can watch bread baking in the hamlet's traditional oven, listen to Breton music, dance, and enjoy the refreshment stand and fast food.
The Notre-Dame de Cran chapel, also known as the Templar chapel, is a listed building dating back to the 12th century, originally built by the Templars. Transformed in the 15th and 16th centuries in the Gothic style, it retains remarkable carved eaves dated from 1524 to 1556, as well as polychrome wooden statues of the Trinity and a Virgin and Child from the 15th century.
Treffléan is a commune of about 2,450 inhabitants located 17 km east of Vannes, in the Haut-Vannetais region. The hamlet of Cran, nestled in the hedged countryside, is accessible by the Chemin de Cran hiking trail which allows you to discover the chapel, fountain, and washhouse in a bucolic setting.
