The great summer hunt by the river Tarn
In the heart of Moissac's summer, Les Zilous association sets up its large flea market on Avenue de l'Uvarium, along the river Tarn. A shaded, friendly day of bargain hunting near Saint-Pierre Abbey and the famous Art Deco kiosk. Private sellers and collectors gather to clear attics, find rare treasures, and enjoy the cool air by the river.
Every year, Avenue de l'Uvarium becomes an enormous bargain-hunting alley for the flea market organised by the Les Zilous association. The shaded esplanade by the Tarn, steps from the Art Deco Uvarium kiosk, provides an exceptional setting.
Exhibitors set up at dawn and stay until late afternoon. No tables provided, minimum 3 metres, vehicles allowed on site. Toilets and meal trays, mussels and sausages-fries are sold on site by the association.
The classic range: china, vintage toys, vinyl, old books, vintage clothing, regional curios, tools. Browse between plane trees, chat, haggle and share the shade.
Discover Saint-Pierre Abbey and its Romanesque cloister, a UNESCO World Heritage Site on the Way of Saint James. End your day on the Uvarium terrace at sunset.
