Each spring, the archery club Les Archers d'Hélène organizes a friendly car boot sale at the Salle du Castel Park in Surgères. This event offers an original format combining indoor stands in the hall and outdoor pitches in the park, offering exhibitors and visitors two complementary atmospheres.

Surgères, a town in Aunis with a rich heritage

Surgères is a commune in Charente-Maritime renowned for its castle, of which a remarkable fortified enclosure with towers and ramparts remains. The town is also known as the homeland of Hélène de Fonsèque, lady of Surgères who inspired the sonnets of Ronsard. It is precisely in homage to this historical figure that the archery club bears the name Les Archers d'Hélène. The Castel Park, with its hall and tree-lined park, is an ideal location for this type of event in the heart of the town.

A generous raffle and homemade catering

One of the highlights of this car boot sale is its grand raffle with over 40 prizes offered by merchants, artisans, and restaurateurs from Surgères and the surrounding area. The results are immediate, adding a fun touch to the day of treasure hunting. Catering, provided exclusively by the club, offers simple and friendly options. Coffee is offered to each registered exhibitor.
