The Whit Monday brocante in the heart of the village
Third great bargain-hunting day of the Beausset calendar, the Whit Monday flea market sets up on boulevard de la Libération and in the village centre. Organised by the Baussetan Fai Peta association, it combines private and professional sellers for a fine spring morning of Provençal browsing.
In Le Beausset, Whitsun is not just a church feast: it is also a major popular event, the Whit Monday flea market. Run by the Baussetan Fai Peta association — a Provençal name that speaks of local roots — the sale takes over boulevard de la Libération and the town centre, extending a few weeks after the great Easter Monday brocante.
The format is more intimate than 15 August or Easter Monday, but just as lively. Local sellers and out-of-town hunters set out bric-a-brac, crockery, toys, books, clothing, small furniture and decor. Professionals bring rarer pieces: santons, antique linen, postcards, vinyl, collectibles.
Baussetan Fai Peta is a Provençal association dedicated to village life, local traditions and town-centre animation. Its volunteers run the event with a seasoned team and welcome vendors from the early hours.
Vendor set-up from 5am, public opening in the morning, easy browsing until early afternoon. Boulevard de la Libération, the village's main street, fills with colourful stalls in the shade of the plane trees. Cafés fill up, local businesses enjoy the flow.
The Whitsun market is the last great browsing date before the summer break (before 15 August). It pleases regular locals and long-weekend holidaymakers from Marseille, Aubagne or the Var coast alike.
