The major summer antiques and vintage fair in the Enclave of the Popes
Every summer, Valréas stages one of the Vaucluse's antique highlights. On Monday 3 August 2026, the historic city welcomes some 45 antiques dealers, brocanteurs and vintage sellers for a day devoted to period furniture, collectibles and 20th-century design. The event attracts regional bargain hunters, Provençal holidaymakers and collectors drawn by the fair's quality reputation.
The exhibitors represent a fine overview of the antiques and vintage market: specialists in 18th-19th century furniture, generalist dealers, Mid-Century and Scandinavian design merchants, lighting, silverware, porcelain, glassware, paintings, old books, jewellery and collection watches. Vintage covers fashion, accessories, 1950s-80s retro decor and iconic design pieces.
Valréas is the main commune of the Enclave of the Popes, a Vaucluse territory enclosed within the Drôme, the legacy of Pope John XXII's 1317 purchase. This forged a strong heritage identity: Château de Simiane (now town hall), Notre-Dame de Nazareth collegiate church, former hospital, ramparts.
Valréas is also the heart of AOC Côtes du Rhône Villages Valréas. The day can be extended with a cellar visit or lunch on a shaded terrace.
