The associative bourse of Le Beausset's school parents
Every spring, the Regroupement des Parents Beaussetans (RPB) runs its annual bourse. The association, which brings together parents from the village's schools, mobilises volunteers for an event combining a children's vide-dressing, a toy fair and a baby-gear sale. Proceeds go entirely to educational activities and school trips.
Family-focused: children's clothing from birth to teens, shoes, baby gear (pushchairs, car seats, play mats, changing tables), kids' books, toys, board games, sports items and small furniture. Prices are very affordable.
Beyond sales, the bourse is above all a moment of mutual support between families. Parent-volunteers welcome sellers, check items for safety and cleanliness, and run a stand to fund projects. Teachers often drop in to thank the parents.
At a time of tight budgets, this bourse meets a real need: letting families resell outgrown clothes and toys while others equip themselves cheaply. A fine example of responsible consumption.
Alongside the Easter Monday, Whit Monday and 15 August flea markets, this more intimate bourse anchors parents' association life in the village rhythm.
