Weekly flea market every Wednesday and Saturday in the historic center of Strasbourg
The Vieil-Hôpital Flea Market is one of the most iconic flea markets in Strasbourg. Twice a week, every Wednesday and Saturday from 7 AM to 6 PM, it takes over rue du Vieil-Hôpital, rue de l'Étal, and place de la Grande Boucherie, in the historic heart of the city. These medieval alleys, located just meters from Notre-Dame Cathedral, offer an incomparable setting for an open-air bargain hunting session.
The market stalls offer a great diversity of items: antiques, old furniture, tableware, knick-knacks, old papers, antique postcards, coins, vintage clothing, antique books, engravings, posters, antique toys, jewelry, porcelain, glassware, and small furniture. The exhibitors, a mix of seasoned professionals and passionate private sellers, welcome visitors in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
The Vieil-Hôpital district owes its name to the former civil hospital of Strasbourg, founded in the 13th century, whose historic cellar can still be admired under the current building. This part of the Grande Île, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is crossed by cobblestone streets lined with half-timbered houses.
In 2026, the Vieil-Hôpital Flea Market faithfully continues its twice-weekly meeting in the heart of Strasbourg. Every Wednesday and Saturday, the stalls of antiques, brocante, and curiosities invade rue du Vieil-Hôpital, rue de l'Étal, and place de la Grande Boucherie.
