A humanitarian brocante in the heart of Strasbourg

The Grand Humanitarian Brocante of the Lions Club Strasbourg Les Europeens is one of the essential winter events for Strasbourg bargain hunters. Organized each year at the prestigious Salle de la Bourse, a neoclassical building emblematic of the place de Lattre de Tassigny, this brocante brings together for two days around 90 exhibitors who display their treasures in an exceptional heritage setting. Bargain hunters discover a wide variety of items: decorative objects, antique dishes, old glassware, paintings and frames, vintage clothing, household linen, books, vinyl records, turntables and record players, small furniture and curiosities.

Proceeds entirely donated to social works

The Lions Club Strasbourg Les Europeens, faithful to the 'We Serve' motto of the movement, donates all proceeds from this brocante to the club's social works. The funds collected mainly finance local actions such as introductory flights organized for children with mild mental disabilities, support for associations helping sick children, and the funding of specific projects linked to the causes defended by the club. A refreshment stand run by volunteers offers hot dishes, homemade cakes and drinks throughout the weekend, allowing visitors to eat in a friendly and charitable atmosphere.

The Salle de la Bourse and Strasbourg

The Salle de la Bourse, located on place de Lattre de Tassigny in the Neustadt district, is a prestigious heritage building erected at the end of the 19th century during the German period. This monumental building with neoclassical architecture today hosts congresses, trade fairs, exhibitions and cultural events. Strasbourg, capital of the Bas-Rhin and seat of the European Parliament, combines medieval heritage, German imperial architecture and institutional modernity. Its historic center is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the Salle de la Bourse is part of the Neustadt perimeter, itself UNESCO-listed in 2017.
