Each year in June, the village of Crançot, part of the new municipality of Hauteroche, organizes its annual car boot sale. Private exhibitors take over the village streets and square to offer bargain hunters a wide variety of second-hand items. Crançot is a charming village perched on the first Jura plateau, at an altitude of about 500 meters. Located between Lons-le-Saunier and Poligny, it is part of the new municipality of Hauteroche, created in 2019 by the merger of several neighboring villages. The village offers a remarkable panorama of the Bresse plain and the first foothills of the Jura, an ideal setting for a day of bargain hunting. The car boot sale is generally held on a Sunday in June. Entry is free. A refreshment stand provides visitors with refreshments throughout the day, offering cold drinks and light snacks.
