One of the largest car boot sales in the region, organized since 1992 by the association Sapois Loisirs
Created in 1992, the Sapois car boot sale has become over the years one of the unmissable events for bargain hunters in the Haut-Jura. Organized by the association Sapois Loisirs, it now hosts around 80 exhibitors and attracts up to 3,000 visitors every first Sunday in August. More than thirty years of existence attest to the vitality of this event and the commitment of the volunteers who run it.
True to the spirit of the traditional car boot sale, Sapois Loisirs reserves pitches for individuals only. No resellers or professionals on the stalls: here, you'll find genuine attic finds - family tableware, childhood toys, old-fashioned clothes, second-hand books, tools, and trinkets of all kinds. It is this authenticity that makes the event charming and keeps visitors coming back year after year.
The car boot sale is held in the car park of the village hall, route de Sirod, in a green setting typical of the Haut-Jura. Parking is free and located in the immediate vicinity of the site. Access is adapted for people with reduced mobility. Toilets are available and a refreshment stand with snacks allows visitors to eat throughout the day.
Sapois is a small municipality in the Jura region located on the Champagnole plateau, at an altitude of about 600 meters. Surrounded by coniferous forests and pastures, the village offers an ideal setting for a summer day of treasure hunting in the open air.
