The professional autumn flea market at the Oppidum de Champagnole
As the autumn colors set the forests of Haut-Jura ablaze, the Oppidum de Champagnole hosts its Toussaint flea market. This event, held annually in October or November, is dedicated to professional dealers and antique sellers. It stands out from private car boot sales due to the quality and originality of the items offered.
The Oppidum is Champagnole's large event hall, located on the Esplanade Jean Charropin. With its vast covered spaces, it offers a comfortable and bright setting for browsing the dealers' stalls. Each exhibitor has an 8 by 4 meter space, allowing for a neat presentation of items. The forty or so professionals present offer an eclectic selection: antique furniture, collectible tableware, decorative objects, trinkets, paintings, and curiosities.
Unlike car boot sales open to individuals, this flea market is reserved for professionals in the flea market and antique trade. This guarantees a level of quality and expertise appreciated by discerning amateurs and collectors. Pitches are available for €40 for an 8x4 meter space, and setup begins at 6 am. Visitors benefit from free admission and can hunt for treasures from 7 am to 5:45 pm.
