Every August 15th, La Mure celebrates the Murçon Matheysin, an emblematic mountain sausage from Matheysine. The car boot sale is an integral part of this popular festival, with around 100 exhibitors setting up in the town center alongside the local producers' and artisans' market.

The Murçon, a gastronomic treasure of Matheysine

The Murçon is a typical couenne sausage from Matheysine, a traditional charcuterie made from pieces of rind and lean pork seasoned with garlic and spices. The Confrérie du Murçon Matheysin, founded to preserve this know-how, organizes this festival every year, bringing together about twenty gastronomic brotherhoods from all over France.

A festive and gourmet event

The Fête du Murçon is not limited to the car boot sale: August 15th in La Mure is a full day of entertainment with a producers' market, Murçon and local product tastings, music, games, and street entertainment. The car boot sale adds a treasure hunting and bric-a-brac dimension to this festive and gourmet atmosphere.

Registration and organization

Registration for the car boot sale is at the Mairie de La Mure, from Tuesday to Thursday from 9 am to 12 pm and from 2 pm to 5 pm, or by phone at 04 76 81 41 56, or by email. The pitch is free or at a modest price. The Confrérie du Murçon coordinates all the day's entertainment.
