Rugby and bargain hunting, a Finhan tradition

South-east of Castelsarrasin, in the fertile Garonne plain, Finhan is a village where rugby is truly a way of life. The Union Sportive Finhanaise (USF) Rugby, the village's emblematic club, continues a long associative tradition by organising its big flea market every year at the Mas Amouroux stadium site. The event, held in late spring or early summer, mobilises all the club's volunteers for a day of large-scale popular bargain hunting.

The stadium and its surroundings welcome several dozen exhibitors — both private and professional — who set up from 6 AM along avenue du Ramier. The spacious layout of the site can accommodate small family stalls as well as vendors arriving with significant volumes.

What you can find

The offering is broad: family bric-à-brac, clothing, crockery, toys, books and comics, vinyl records, small furniture, tools, decorative items, sports and leisure equipment. The presence of a few semi-professional vendors also makes it possible to find collectibles (postcards, miniatures, advertising items) and small antiques.

A club and festive atmosphere

The full rugby spirit is on show: the early third half kicks off at lunchtime with food served under marquee by players and volunteers. Sandwiches, grilled meats, fries, drinks: friendliness is total, and the flea market becomes a gathering moment for the whole village community and far beyond. The proceeds go to the club to fund the sports season, equipment and youth team travel.

Visit tips

The flea market opens early and attendance can be high by mid-morning. For serious bargain hunters, arrival from 8 AM is recommended. The Mas Amouroux stadium has an adjacent car park and the site is easily accessible from Castelsarrasin and Montech.
