Summer hunt in the Garonne village
There is no edition scheduled in 2026 for this event. This page remains accessible to archive the history of the manifestation and will be updated if a new edition is announced.
Bourret, on the left bank of the Garonne between Verdun-sur-Garonne and Castelsarrasin, is one of those small Tarn-et-Garonne villages that faithfully cultivate the tradition of the annual flea market. With fewer than a thousand inhabitants, the bourg keeps an intimate character reflected in its events: no crowds, just quality hunting in a family, village atmosphere.
The Sunday summer event takes over the village centre, around the square and main streets. Sellers, locals and folks from neighbouring villages such as Mas-Grenier, Larrazet, Saint-Sardos or Aucamville, lay out from 7am: crockery, family brocante, clothes, toys, books, small furniture, trinkets. The proximity to the Garonne and the lovely village of Saint-Nicolas-de-la-Grave also draws passing hunters.
What characterises Bourret's flea market is that village spirit rare today: sellers know each other, visitors take time to chat, association volunteers run a welcoming refreshment stand. Kids hunt for treasures in the toy crates, retirees discuss vintage crockery, everyone leaves with finds for very little.
Bourret nestles in the Garonne plain, fertile land of cereal and fruit cultivation. The river's immediate proximity offers restful walks. Belleperche castle, Belleperche abbey or Mas-Grenier village are nearby for an afternoon of heritage discovery. Saint-Nicolas-de-la-Grave with its leisure park is ten minutes away.
For village authenticity far from anonymous big brocantes, gentle prices, family-find variety, the calm Garonne plain and warm Bourret welcome.
ℹ️ 2026 Edition not confirmed. At the time of our editorial verification (June 2026), we found no public source (organizer, town hall, aggregator, local press) announcing a flea market in July 2026 in Bourret. The only recurring event documented in Bourret is a flea market organized by the Comité des fêtes in November (2025 edition on Sunday, November 30th, at the village hall). If you are the organizer and a flea market is indeed taking place in July, please report it via the event modification form.
The Bourret flea market is a village rummage sale event in this town of Tarn-et-Garonne (82700), in the heart of the Garonne plain between Verdun-sur-Garonne and Castelsarrasin. Individuals from the village and neighboring communes unpack bric-a-brac, clothes, toys, books, crockery, and small furniture, in a family atmosphere.
The July 2026 edition could not be confirmed by a public source at the time of our verification. In Bourret, the documented regular meeting for bargain hunters is rather an autumn flea market (November), organized by the Comité des fêtes at the village hall. Before traveling, please check with the Bourret town hall or the Comité des fêtes.
