The association Force T en Pays Bigouden is a local structure committed to the fight against neuromuscular diseases, a loyal partner of AFM-Téléthon for many years. Among its fundraising activities, the annual May swap meet has become one of its most emblematic events. Every first Sunday of May, the vast covered and outdoor car park of the E. Leclerc shopping center, on the road to Saint-Jean-Trolimon, transforms into a lively market where professional sellers, individuals, and associations mingle.

The objective is twofold: to allow everyone to clear out their closets and give a second life to objects, while donating the profits to a solidarity cause. Force T indeed donates all the proceeds from the event to the Téléthon, thus contributing to the financing of AFM's medical research. This charitable commitment gives this event a human and friendly dimension that attracts many participants each year.

A market open to all

One of the characteristics of this swap meet is its openness to all categories of exhibitors: individuals who wish to sell everyday items, flea market professionals, and non-profit associations (loi 1901) seeking to fund their own projects. This diversity of sellers guarantees a wide variety of goods: clothing and toys, books and vinyl records, household appliances, trinkets and curiosities, tools, light furniture, etc.

The choice of the E. Leclerc car park in Pont-l'Abbé is not insignificant: this space offers a large area to accommodate a significant number of exhibitors, both in the covered area (protected from Breton weather) and outdoors. Access is easy, with a large free car park and a location at the entrance of the town well known to the inhabitants of Pays Bigouden. The event thus benefits from good visibility and strong local attendance.
