Large Sunday flea market on Place de la République in Sète, over 100 exhibitors every Sunday morning
Every Sunday morning, the parking lot of Place de la République in Sète (34200) transforms into a true paradise for bargain hunters. From 7 am, over 100 sellers - individuals clearing out their attics and seasoned flea market vendors - set up their stalls in this spacious area. The offerings are eclectic: antique furniture, trinkets, tableware, vintage clothing, vinyl records, books, retro toys, and unusual items. The best deals are found early, and regulars know: you have to arrive at opening time to find the gems.
Sète, nicknamed the "Venice of Languedoc", is a unique port city, built on the slopes of Mont Saint-Clair between the Mediterranean Sea and the Thau Lagoon. The homeland of Georges Brassens, Paul Valéry, and Jean Vilar, this characterful city seduces with its canals, lively quays, markets, and seafood-focused gastronomy. The Sunday flea market is part of this tradition of popular conviviality that makes Sète charming.
Exhibitors wishing to participate must go to the one-stop shop at the Sète Town Hall (ground floor) to register. The fee is €16 for 2 spots, usable on 2 Sundays of your choice, without prior reservation. Entry is free for visitors. The market takes place from 7 am to 1 pm, outdoors, all year round.
