The Sète Book Fair: a monthly event for bibliophiles

Each month, Place Léon Blum in Sète (34200) transforms into a true open-air bookstore thanks to the Foire aux livres et vieux papiers (Book and Old Papers Fair). Organized by the association Les Compagnons du Livre in partnership with the Mairie de Sète, this fair brings together passionate booksellers offering a varied selection: old books, classic novels, comic books, essays, art books, old papers, antique postcards, and period documents. A specialist in vinyl records (33s and 45s) is also present, allowing music lovers to find sonic gems.

A different theme each month

The originality of the Sète Book Fair lies in its monthly thematic programming. Each edition highlights a different literary universe — crime fiction, poetry, travel, cooking, science fiction — inviting visitors to explore various genres and discuss their shared passion with the booksellers. This dynamic approach renews interest at each event and attracts a loyal and curious audience. The fair takes place on Sundays from 10 am to 6 pm (5 pm during winter), in a relaxed atmosphere, on this lively square in the city center of Sète.
