Bargain hunting on Sault's Esplanade in high-altitude Provence
In mid-August, as the lavender plateau has just celebrated its harvest, Sault hosts a second antiques and collectibles fair of the season on its Esplanade. Between century-old plane trees, at the foot of Mont Ventoux, this summer edition draws bargain hunters seeking coolness and finds at 800 metres.
After the July edition, the Sault antiques fair returns in mid-August, when the plateau is at its tourist peak. On Wednesday 19 August 2026, the village welcomes exhibitors and visitors for another gathering devoted to old objects, curios and collectibles. The shade of the great plane trees makes it one of the most pleasant markets in the region.
The 19 August edition falls just after Sault's famous Lavender Festival (15 August), when plateau producers celebrate the end of the harvest.
Exhibitors present postcards, old papers, coins, stamps, advertising posters, vinyl records, old books, faience and regional items.
