Grand car boot sale at the Barollière gymnasium and in the streets of Lunéville
The Vide-greniers de la Barollière is a major event in Lunéville, organized every year in March by the M.A.R.I.E. association. Located at the Barollière gymnasium, in the surrounding car parks and streets up to the cemetery, it attracts many bargain hunters from the Lunéville area and beyond. The event takes place from 6 am to 6 pm and admission is free for visitors.
Every year, on the last Sunday of March, the Barollière district in Lunéville transforms into a huge open-air flea market. Organized by the M.A.R.I.E. association, this car boot sale is one of the most important in the region, attracting hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of visitors who come to hunt for treasures from the early hours of the morning.
The car boot sale takes over the Barollière gymnasium, the adjacent car parks, and the surrounding streets, extending to the vicinity of the cemetery. This generous space allows for a very large number of exhibitors, offering bargain hunters a considerable choice of items: furniture, tableware, trinkets, books, clothes, toys, tools, vinyl records, and curiosities of all kinds.
The early opening at 6 am delights the most passionate bargain hunters, who know that the best pieces are found in the early hours. The day continues until 6 pm, leaving visitors plenty of time to browse all the stalls and negotiate their finds. Registration is mandatory for exhibitors.
Lunéville, nicknamed the "Lorraine Versailles" for its listed castle, is a city rich in heritage and associative life. The Vide-greniers de la Barollière contributes to the city's liveliness and is a highlight of local life at the end of winter.
