Second-hand bike sale at the MJC de Lunéville
Every spring, the town of Lunéville hosts its Bike Sale, a friendly event dedicated to the buying and selling of used bicycles. Organized in conjunction with the MJC Jacques-Prévert, this sale allows individuals to sell their bikes that have become too small or are unused, and buyers to equip themselves at a lower cost for the good weather.
The sale welcomes all types of bikes: children's bikes, city bikes, mountain bikes, road bikes, electric bikes, and cycling accessories. Sellers set their prices and buyers negotiate directly, in a relaxed and family-friendly atmosphere. It's the ideal opportunity to find the bike that suits your needs without breaking the bank, while giving a second life to equipment in good condition.
Lunéville, nicknamed the "Lorraine Versailles" thanks to its majestic 18th-century castle, is a dynamic city in the southeast of Meurthe-et-Moselle. Crossed by the Meurthe and the Vezouze rivers, the city offers numerous cycling routes in the surrounding countryside. The bike sale is part of this dynamic of soft mobility and the promotion of cycling as a means of transport and leisure.
By promoting the reuse of bicycles, the sale contributes to waste reduction and the circular economy. It also participates in the democratization of cycling by making bikes accessible to all budgets. Local cycling associations, such as the Cyclo Randonneurs Lunévillois, help animate this event and provide advice to visitors.
