The village's summer car boot sale at the foot of the Vercors
Every summer, the small village of Saint-Romans hosts its annual car boot sale in the village center. Located in the community of communes of Saint-Marcellin Vercors Isère, this village of about 1,800 inhabitants offers a peaceful and green setting, ideal for a day of bargain hunting in the open air.
The Saint-Romans car boot sale is the epitome of a village flea market as we like them: unpretentious, friendly, and full of surprises. Residents of the village and surrounding towns empty their attics and offer a wide variety of second-hand items. You can find everything: clothes, tableware, books, toys, trinkets, small furniture, and sometimes real treasures for savvy collectors.
Saint-Romans benefits from a prime location between the Isère plain and the first foothills of the Vercors. Visitors can take advantage of their visit to discover the spectacular landscapes of the nearby Bourne gorges, or stroll through the streets of Saint-Marcellin, famous for its namesake cheese. The car boot sale is part of the dynamic associative life of this village where community spirit remains very much alive.
The event takes place outdoors in the village streets, offering a pleasant walk between the stalls. Refreshments and light catering are usually provided by local associations, allowing visitors to cool down and regain their strength between finds.
