Annual car boot sale with 100 exhibitors at the Casseuil village hall, at the confluence of the Garonne and Dropt rivers
Every year in May, the village hall of Casseuil (33190) and its surroundings host a car boot sale bringing together about 100 private exhibitors. This good turnout for a modestly sized village demonstrates the commune's dynamism and the appeal of this event for bargain hunters in the region. Exhibitors offer a wide variety of second-hand items: clothing, toys, books, tableware, trinkets, small furniture, and decorative objects.
Casseuil is a commune of about 500 inhabitants located in the south of Gironde, at the confluence of the Garonne and Dropt rivers. This remarkable geographical site, near La Réole, gives the village a unique character. Casseuil is bordered by the vineyards of Entre-deux-Mers and the alluvial plains of the Garonne valley. The village retains an authentic rural heritage with its stone houses and its privileged riverside location.
The use of the village hall as the main venue for the car boot sale offers the advantage of a covered space, protected from spring weather. Stalls also extend outside when the weather permits. Entry is free, and refreshments are offered by the organizers.
From Bordeaux, take the A62 towards Agen, then exit at La Réole. Casseuil is about 2 km northwest of La Réole.
