Nautical car boot sale and flea market organized by TYAM in Lampaul-Plouarzel
Every March, the TYAM association (Tud Yaouank Ar Mor) organizes the Puces nautiques at the Espace le Kruguel in Lampaul-Plouarzel. Boat equipment, maritime books, nautical clothing, engines, and dinghies are found alongside general flea market items. A unique event in the Pays d'Iroise for sailors, boaters, and maritime enthusiasts.
Lampaul-Plouarzel (29810) is a coastal town in the Pays d'Iroise, in northern Finistère, nestled between the estuaries and Atlantic cliffs. It is here that the TYAM association — whose Breton name Tud Yaouank Ar Mor means "the young people of the sea" — organizes its Puces nautiques every spring, an original event that combines second-hand nautical equipment and general flea market items.
The specific feature of the Puces nautiques of Lampaul-Plouarzel is to host a selection of items related to the sea and navigation alongside a more traditional flea market. Exhibitors offer boat hardware, navigation instruments, maritime books and charts, nautical clothing and equipment, marine culture objects, fishing gear, outboard motors, and dinghies — the small inflatable or rigid boats. Outside, the bulkier items such as dinghies and large equipment are displayed in the area in front of the hall.
This specialized offer attracts boaters from the roadstead of Brest, divers, fishermen, and all maritime enthusiasts who find second-hand equipment here at reasonable prices. General flea market enthusiasts are not left out, with many exhibitors offering the usual items.
The event takes place at the Espace le Kruguel, the community hall of Lampaul-Plouarzel, from 9 am to 5 pm. Exhibitor setup begins at 7 am. 1.20 m tables are available for €3.50. The TYAM association ensures organization, reception, and catering for exhibitors and visitors.

Lampaul-Plouarzel stretches along the Atlantic coast of the Pays d'Iroise, between Le Conquet to the south and Plouarzel to the north. Its rugged coastline, white sandy beaches, and views of the islands in the roadstead make it a popular spot for walks. The town is crossed by the customs path (GR34) which runs along the Breton coasts. The maritime tradition is deeply rooted here, which explains the success of this original event dedicated to the sea.
