Every spring, the "Écoute s'il Pleut" lake in Gourdon hosts the car boot sale organized by the "Écoute s'il joue" parent cooperative nursery. Integrated into the larger Spring Festival, this family event combines a car boot sale, children's activities, and a friendly atmosphere for a colorful day by the water.

A Green Setting for a Popular Event

The "Écoute s'il Pleut" lake in Gourdon offers a pleasant natural setting for this spring car boot sale. Just a few minutes from Gourdon town center, this leisure area can accommodate exhibitors in a vast open space, ideal for outdoor stalls. The surrounding vegetation, birdsong, and the mild Quercy spring create an atmosphere conducive to strolling and bargain hunting.

A Festival for the Whole Family

The unique aspect of this event is its deeply family-oriented nature. The car boot sale starts at 8 am for exhibitors, but it's from 2:30 pm that the Spring Festival is in full swing with activities dedicated to children: pony rides, games, fun activities, and musical entertainment. On-site catering completes this festive program. Coffee and a slice of cake are offered to each exhibitor, reflecting the friendly and warm spirit of the organizing parent cooperative nursery.

Profits for Gourdon's Toddlers

All profits from the car boot sale are donated to the "Écoute s'il joue" parent cooperative nursery for the purchase of new equipment for the children. This solidarity aspect strengthens the attachment of Gourdon families to this annual event, which is also an opportunity to support a valuable early childhood care facility in the Gourdon area. Exhibitor fees are affordable: €3 per linear meter, €5 for two meters. The 14th edition in 2025 confirmed the event's place in Gourdon's festive calendar.
