Car Boot Sale and Pétanque Competition in Rouffilhac

Rouffilhac is a hamlet in the commune of Carlucet, in the Lot (46700), in the heart of Quercy. This tiny village in the heights of the Quercy Black Périgord is known in particular thanks to the Blog des Bourians, an associative blog that relays local life and events in the area. The APE Le Tournefeuille, a very active parents' association in the life of the village, organizes a day of festivities there every year, combining a car boot sale and a pétanque competition.

The Rouffilhac car boot sale brings together about 35 exhibitors on the village's communal ground. Individuals and families offer their items of all kinds: clothes for adults and children, toys, books, kitchen utensils, tools, trinkets, and various curiosities. The limited number of exhibitors gives the event an intimate and friendly character, conducive to authentic exchanges between sellers and bargain hunters.

A pétanque competition for everyone

Pétanque is the other major highlight of this day. The competition, open to all levels, is played in the best possible atmosphere. Amateurs and fans of the boules game meet for exciting matches, under the watchful eye of spectators and exhibitors at the car boot sale. The APE Le Tournefeuille refreshment stand provides food and drinks throughout the day.

The Le Tournefeuille Parents' Association is a pillar of associative life in Rouffilhac and its surroundings. Rouffilhac is accessible from Gourdon (about twenty kilometers to the northeast) and from Sarlat (about thirty kilometers to the west). Parking is available on the outskirts of the communal ground.
