The Puces des Couturières: the paradise of thread enthusiasts in Varetz

Each spring, the Espace Colette in Varetz, place Henri de Jouvenel, hosts the Puces des Couturières et des Arts du Fil, an original show organized by the association Langue de Chas. This event is entirely dedicated to the world of sewing, knitting, embroidery, crochet, patchwork, and textile creation.

A unique concept in Corrèze

The Puces des Couturières allows individuals to sell their surplus supplies: fabrics, threads, yarns, buttons, ribbons, beads, haberdashery, patterns, sewing books, used sewing machines, and materials for creative hobbies. Finished creations and new products are not allowed, thus guaranteeing the authentic flea market nature among enthusiasts.

Varetz, on the outskirts of Brive

Varetz is a green residential commune located on the outskirts of Brive-la-Gaillarde, known for its Castel Novel castle, a former luxury hotel that hosted Colette. The Espace Colette, named after the famous writer, offers a pleasant and functional setting for this show dedicated to thread arts.

Information for exhibitors

Tables are available for 4 euros for 1.80 m. Exhibitor setup begins at 7:30 a.m. and must be completed before opening to the public. Entry is free for visitors. A refreshment stand with light catering is provided by the association's volunteers.
