The great annual attic fair of Neauphle-le-Château, in the Mauldre valley
At the foot of the medieval castle from which Neauphle takes its name, the Attic Fair is one of the great moments of local life. Organized by the Tourist Office, it traditionally takes place in June on the Allée du Jeu de Paume, a beautiful central space that welcomes around 170 private exhibitors who come to offer their attic treasures.
Crockery, trinkets, old toys, furniture, books, old postcards, clothing, records, tools, old linen, tableware: the exhibitors offer a varied selection that appeals to collectors and casual visitors alike.
Located in the western Yvelines, about fifteen kilometers from Versailles, the town of Neauphle-le-Château is known for its rich medieval and modern heritage. Ayatollah Khomeini lived there in exile in the 1970s.
Organized by the Tourist Office at 14 Place du Marché, the Attic Fair is a unifying event that mobilizes many volunteers.
The Neauphle-le-Château Attic Fair is one of those recurring events that structure the Yvelines flea market calendar. It attracts a loyal audience who know they will find quality offerings in a local, endearing atmosphere.
