Marine and nautical flea market at the old slipway of Cap-Coz, organized by the Fouesnant Sailors — 16th edition in May
Every May, the Association des Plaisanciers de Fouesnant-les Glénan organizes its Puces de Mer at the old slipway of Cap-Coz. This unique marine flea market brings together nautical objects, marine furniture, and navigation equipment by the water, from 9 am to 7 pm. An emblematic event of the southern Finistère coast for sea and bargain lovers.
Every May, the old slipway of Cap-Coz, in the town of Fouesnant, transforms into an exceptional maritime market: the Puces de Mer, organized by the Association des Plaisanciers de Fouesnant-les Glénan. This marine-themed flea market is one of the most original in Finistère, attracting sea professionals, collectors, decorators, and simple lovers of the maritime world.
On the quays and around the slipway, professional and private exhibitors display their goods: marine furniture (officer chests, ship furniture), navigation instruments (sextants, compasses, spyglasses), maritime decorative objects (Fresnel lens lanterns, portholes, ship bells), nautical paintings and prints, boat models, old fishing gear, ropes, caulking tools, and many other treasures from the world of seafarers. The atmosphere, by the water, with the Bay of La Forêt as a backdrop, is unique.
Visitors are welcomed from 9 am to 7 pm, making it one of the longest flea markets on the Finistère calendar. The site, accessible from Fouesnant via the Route du Cap-Coz, has parking spaces.
The Association des Plaisanciers de Fouesnant-les Glénan is an associative structure active in the nautical and cultural life of the Bay of La Forêt. As the historic organizer of these Puces de Mer, it ensures the authentic maritime character of the event is maintained. Profits contribute to the association's activities, particularly the promotion of sailing and maritime traditions in the region.
The event has been listed for several years on major specialized platforms (PointsdeChine, Brocabrac, eTerritoire) and is monitored by the Breton local press.
Cap-Coz is a maritime hamlet in the town of Fouesnant (29170), located at the tip of a sandy peninsula that encloses the Bay of La Forêt to the west, opposite La Forêt-Fouesnant. This remarkable natural site, with its fine sandy beaches, its marina, and its panoramas of the Glénan Islands, is one of the most popular spots in the Pays Fouesnantais. The old slipway of Cap-Coz, the historic departure point for connections to the islands, provides a beautiful setting for a marine flea market.
The Puces de Mer of Cap-Coz were held in an edition in May 2025 and are expected in May 2026 at the old slipway of Cap-Coz, Fouesnant. Opening hours from 9 am to 7 pm. Contact: Association des Plaisanciers de Fouesnant-les Glénan, tel. 02 98 56 03 48.
