The annual flea market in the alleys of Parc de Diane in Jouy-en-Josas
There are bigger flea markets and more famous antique fairs, but few benefit from a setting as remarkable as Jouy-en-Josas's Parc de Diane. Each June, the shaded alleys of this landscaped park welcome private sellers and bargain hunters for a day that combines the pleasure of discovery with the beauty of the site. Large trees, lawns and peaceful surroundings transform the event into a real walk.
Parc de Diane is one of the most beloved green spaces in Jouy-en-Josas, often mentioned by locals as a favoured walking spot. Located at the heart of the commune, it offers a carefully maintained landscape with its alleys, lawns and mature vegetation.
Like many municipal flea markets, Parc de Diane's mainly hosts private sellers from Jouy-en-Josas and neighbouring Bièvre valley communes. You'll find what families wish to part with: clothes, toys, books, crockery, decoration, small furniture, childcare items, records, DVDs, board games. Occasional dealers round out the offer with furniture, paintings or vintage decoration.
Jouy-en-Josas is a special commune in the ÃŽle-de-France landscape. Thirty minutes from Paris, it has retained a village soul through its old streets, heritage linked to Oberkampf's Toile de Jouy, protected natural setting and tradition of intense community life.
This flea market is the perfect June Sunday event: family outing, park walk, bargain opportunities, relaxed atmosphere. Children run between stalls, adults take time to examine items, and the day often extends with a picnic or visit to the nearby Toile de Jouy museum.
