Some villages evoke a whole landscape through their name alone: Noyelles-sur-Mer is one of them. Nestled on lands overlooking the Bay of Somme, it occupies a strategic place in this classified Grand Site of France.
Noyelles-sur-Mer is one of the key villages of the Bay of Somme tour. The tourist steam railway stops here on the line linking Le Crotoy, Saint-Valery-sur-Somme and Cayeux-sur-Mer.
Mainly individuals and some occasional brocanteurs. Classic rural Picard flea market inventory with slight maritime touch.
Commune of about 850 inhabitants, railway hub, departure point of the Bay of Somme Railway. Remarkable Chinese cemetery from WWI.
Steam train to Le Crotoy or Saint-Valery, Marquenterre park, seals at Hourdel.
Noyelles-sur-Mer is reached from Abbeville (20 km) or Amiens (65 km). Noyelles SNCF station on Paris-Calais line, Bay of Somme Railway departure.
