The summer flea market of Neauphle-le-Vieux village, in the Montfort-l'Amaury plain
In the southwest of the Yvelines, just a stone's throw from its better-known neighbor Neauphle-le-Château, the village of Neauphle-le-Vieux hosts its traditional flea market every year in early June. This event, supported by local community life, takes place outdoors and attracts private exhibitors and bargain hunters.
Neauphle-le-Vieux has barely a thousand inhabitants and has preserved its rural character. Its listed Romanesque church, old limestone houses, sunken lanes and vast agricultural horizons make it a charming village, perfect for a flea market outing combined with a discovery of the small Yvelines heritage.
Unlike large urban flea markets, Neauphle-le-Vieux cultivates a warm village atmosphere.
Beyond the flea market, it is an opportunity for residents to meet.
