The great summer bargain hunt on the left bank of the Tarn
There is no edition scheduled in 2026 for this event. This page remains accessible to archive the history of the manifestation and will be updated if a new edition is announced.
Coufouleux, a village on the left bank of the Tarn south of Gaillac, holds its flea market each summer in the residential Moussoulars neighbourhood. The active residents' association rallies neighbours to turn streets, driveways and gardens into a long bargain-hunting trail. The feel is that of a true local flea market: you come as a neighbour, wander on foot, pause in the shade of a tree and enjoy a convivial moment in the heart of the Gaillac country.
With over a hundred pitches, the Moussoulars flea market offers a wide variety of goods: clothes for children and adults, toys, baby items, books, comics, vinyl records, crockery, household linen, bric-a-brac, garden tools, small appliances, decor and sometimes a few pieces of furniture. Prices are highly accessible, making it a perfect rendezvous for families, students and bargain hunters.
Run by the Moussoulars residents' association, the flea market is a real rallying moment for neighbourhood life. Volunteers welcome exhibitors from dawn, run the refreshment stand, the catering (sandwiches, crêpes, cold drinks) and the general atmosphere. Proceeds are reinvested in neighbourhood activities and solidarity projects throughout the year.
Coufouleux sits ideally between the Gaillac vineyard and Toulouse, just 40 minutes from the Pink City. The Moussoulars flea market is therefore particularly popular with visitors from Toulouse and Rabastens, who combine their trip with a visit to local wine cellars, a stroll around the neighbouring bastides (Lisle-sur-Tarn, Rabastens) and a riverside walk along the Tarn. A true Tarn summer rendezvous.
