A flea market for the benefit of Florentinois football

The Brocante USF Football is organized every year in August by the Union Sportive Florentinoise Football, the football club of Saint-Florent-sur-Cher. This event, distinct from the Brocante des Donneurs de Sang held in June at the Château park, takes place near the town hall, avenue Gabriel Dordain. The profits are entirely donated to the club to finance equipment, travel, and training for young players.

Saint-Florent-sur-Cher is a town of about 6,000 inhabitants located about fifteen kilometers south of Bourges, on the banks of the Cher. The town has a dynamic associative and sporting life, notably with the USF Omnisports which brings together several sections including football, handball, and other disciplines. The municipal stadium and sports facilities are adjacent to Avenue Gabriel Dordain, the location of the flea market.

Hunt for a good cause

Exhibitors, professional dealers and individuals, offer furniture, knick-knacks, crockery, books, toys, vintage clothing, and collectible items throughout the day. The USF Football provides refreshments and food on site, in a festive and sporting atmosphere. Entry is free for visitors. Bargain hunters browsing the stalls thus contribute, by their presence, to the support of local football.
