The Walduhn hall and the village of Sommerau

Sommerau is a new commune in the Bas-Rhin created on 1 January 2016 by the merger of the communes of Allenwiller, Birkenwald, Salenthal and Singrist. Located about 35 km west of Strasbourg, in the Saverne canton, it nestles in the heart of the Alsatian Vosges foothills, between the Alsace plain and the first wooded hills. The Walduhn Hall, a municipal facility located in the countryside, regularly hosts parties, associative events and convivial gatherings. Its green setting makes it an ideal venue for spring flea markets, where bargain hunters and sellers enjoy the mildness of Alsace.

The commitment of Vinci school parents

The Léonard de Vinci Secondary School Parents Association plays an essential role in the life of the establishment. Through the organisation of events such as this car boot sale, but also cake sales, Christmas markets and other actions, parent volunteers contribute to the funding of projects that enrich the schooling of students: language trips, educational outings, purchase of equipment, funding assistance for families in difficulty. The spring car boot sale is one of the highlights of the associative year, bringing together local bargain hunters, parents and villagers in a warm atmosphere.
