26th edition of the Schwenheim flea market in the heart of the village, on Rue de Saverne
The Schwenheim Flea Market is one of the must-attend events for bargain hunters in Bas-Rhin. For its 26th edition, it once again takes over the center of the village and Rue de Saverne, transforming this rural commune of the Kochersberg into a vast open-air market. Organized for more than 25 years, this event has maintained its authenticity and conviviality.
Over several hundred meters, the stalls offer an incredible diversity of items: antiques, rustic furniture, crockery and porcelain, crystal, glassware, old linens, vintage clothing, hats, bags, old toys, vinyl records, cassettes, books, comics, tools, militaria, postcards, advertising items, lights, clocks, religious items, costume jewelry and small furniture.
Throughout the day, the bars and food stands run by the volunteers of the organizing association delight visitors with Alsatian specialties: grilled meats, fries, merguez, sausages, ham in Riesling, flammekueche, pretzels, local beers, Alsatian wines, coffee and homemade pastries.
Schwenheim is a commune of about 750 inhabitants located in the canton of Saverne, about thirty kilometers northwest of Strasbourg. The commune occupies a pivotal position between the Kochersberg plateau and the foothills of the Northern Vosges.
