The APE of the schools of Cajarc organizes its car boot sale flea market every summer on the Tour de ville of Cajarc, open to both individuals and professionals. Exhibitors welcomed with coffee and fouace from 6 am, open to the public from 8 am to 6:30 pm. Registration before June 30, contact APE Cajarc. A friendly summer event in this pearl of the Lot valley.
Cajarc, this charming village in the upper Lot valley, hosts a car boot sale flea market every summer organized by the Parents' Association (APE) of the local schools. On the Tour de ville, along the boulevard that bypasses the historic center, private and professional exhibitors set up their stalls for a friendly day of treasure hunting in the heart of Quercy.
The Tour de ville of Cajarc runs along the medieval ramparts of the village, offering a wide linear space perfectly suited for setting up stands. The plane trees lining this route provide welcome shade during summer days. The control point is located next to the restaurant La Pause, between numbers 72 and 74 of the boulevard du Tour de Ville, facilitating the reception and orientation of exhibitors.
Unlike some car boot sales reserved only for individuals, the one in Cajarc welcomes both amateur exhibitors and flea market professionals. This mix is appreciated by visitors who can find both authentic family bargains and more selected items offered by experienced dealers. The offering is thus particularly varied: clothing, toys, furniture, trinkets, tableware, tools, books, and collectibles are found alongside more professional merchandise.
The APE of Cajarc takes care of its exhibitors: upon their arrival for setup from 6 am, they are offered coffee and fouace – the brioche specialty of Quercy. This welcome gesture immediately creates a warm atmosphere and retains exhibitors from year to year.
The proceeds from the car boot sale flea market allow the APE to finance activities and projects for the students of Cajarc schools: educational trips, shows, equipment, school trips. By participating as an exhibitor or visitor, everyone directly contributes to the development of the children in this town in the upper Lot valley.
Cajarc is a village of character in the upper Lot valley, between Figeac and Cahors. Dominated by the impressive limestone cliffs that frame the river, the village is known for its local market, its museum, and the birthplace of Françoise Sagan. The Lot valley here is particularly beautiful, with its deep gorges and spectacular meanders.
