The Gottenhouse Plant Exchange, also called Troc'plantes, is one of the favourite events for amateur gardeners in northern Alsace. It will be held on Sunday May 3, 2026 at the Espace Adrien Zeller in this picturesque small village near Saverne. About fifty exhibitors, passionate individuals, nursery owners and gardening associations, offer for exchange, swap or sale perennials, aromatic plants, heirloom vegetables, annual flowers, shrubs, cuttings and seeds. In a friendly and passionate atmosphere, visitors come both to enrich their garden and to exchange cultivation tips, rare varieties and good deals between nature and garden lovers.
A spring event for amateur gardeners
The Gottenhouse Plant Exchange, also known as Troc'plantes, has become a must-attend event for amateur gardeners in Bas-Rhin. It takes place every spring, this year on Sunday May 3, 2026, at the Espace Adrien Zeller, the village community hall.
About fifty exhibitors and great plant diversity
With around 50 exhibitors, the Gottenhouse Plant Exchange offers a great variety of plants: perennials, seasonal flowers, aromatic plants, heirloom vegetables, shrubs, succulents, cuttings and seeds. Exhibitors include passionate individuals, local nurseries and gardening associations. The spirit of the event particularly values swapping and exchanging cultivation advice.
Gottenhouse, a small village at the foot of Saverne
Gottenhouse is a small rural commune of about 280 inhabitants located in Bas-Rhin, a few kilometers south of Saverne, at the foot of the Northern Vosges. Close to the Northern Vosges Regional Natural Park, classified as a UNESCO biosphere reserve.
