Perched at over 800 meters altitude on the Millevaches plateau, Faux-la-Montagne offers an exceptional natural setting, between peat bogs, heather moors, and beech forests, for this open-air bargain hunting day.

Despite a population of about 400 inhabitants, the commune stands out for the richness of its community and cultural life. The car boot sale is part of this tradition of local animation, bringing together plateau residents and passing visitors for a day of conviviality and good deals.

Two annual events: spring and autumn

The originality of this car boot sale lies in its double annual programming: a spring edition in April and an autumn edition in October. Pitches are free and open from 8 am to 6 pm, but prior registration is mandatory at the bar des Sportifs, an essential meeting place in the village. Clothing, toys, books, childcare items, and various objects make up the majority of the stalls.
