The flea market and car boot sale of the Nasbinals village festival, in June
In June, on the occasion of its village festival, Nasbinals organizes a flea market associated with a car boot sale. This early summer event, held on the plateau of Lozère's Aubrac, brings together the inhabitants of the commune and the first hikers of the Jacquaire season.
The Nasbinals village festival is a moment of great social importance in this plateau village. All the local children who have returned for the season, the permanent residents, and the summer visitors come together to celebrate. The car boot sale and flea market are naturally part of these festivities as an additional popular attraction.
Nasbinals (48260) is a village in Lozère's Aubrac, located on the GR 65 (chemin de Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle) and on the transhumance route. Sheep and Aubrac cows pass through the village every spring during the ascent to the summer pastures, perpetuating a thousand-year-old tradition.
Nasbinals is also known for its 11th-century Romanesque church, one of the most beautiful in the department, and for its location in the center of the Aubrac plateau, at an altitude of over 1100 meters, offering 360° panoramas of the high pastures.
