Car boot sale and craft fair around the village hall, organized by the Famille Rurale association
The Famille Rurale association of Saint-Hilaire-les-Courbes organizes a car boot sale with a craft fair each year in May around the village's multi-purpose hall. Approximately 60 exhibitors offer second-hand items, clothing, trinkets, and toys to bargain hunters, while local artisans present their creations. This spring event is an opportunity to discover this small village on the Millevaches plateau, nestled between forests and pastures on the edge of Corrèze.
The Vide-greniers de Saint-Hilaire-les-Courbes is a friendly event organized each spring by the Famille Rurale association. Around the village's multi-purpose hall, about sixty exhibitors set up their stalls to offer bargain hunters everyday items, clothing, books, toys, and trinkets at low prices.
Alongside the car boot sale, a craft fair showcases local know-how. Art artisans, creators, and producers from the Limousin mountains present their creations: pottery, turned wood, jewelry, jams, and local Corrèze products.
Saint-Hilaire-les-Courbes is a rural commune on the Millevaches plateau, at an altitude of about 700 meters. Surrounded by coniferous forests, heathlands, and peat bogs, it is part of the Millevaches en Limousin Regional Natural Park. The village offers a peaceful and preserved setting, ideal for a Sunday spring outing between nature and bargain hunting.
Refreshments and food are provided on-site by the association's volunteers, in a warm and family-friendly atmosphere typical of these small Limousin mountain villages.
