The Easter flea market of Guégon is organized every Easter Monday by the Association for the Safeguarding of Heritage of Guégon at the Yves du Halgouët village hall. The profits are used to restore and enhance the communal heritage. A traditional event for over 25 years.
Every Easter Monday, the Association for the Safeguarding of Heritage of Guégon organizes its traditional flea market at the Yves du Halgouët village hall, at 3 avenue de la Ville Pelote. For over twenty-five years, this event has brought together bargain hunters, flea market vendors, and the curious in a friendly and warm atmosphere.
All profits from the flea market are dedicated to the restoration and enhancement of the communal heritage of Guégon. The association's volunteers work on fountains, calvaries, and historical sites in the town. Recent projects include the restoration of the Saint-Méen fountain in the village of La Borne and the enhancement of the areas around the church and the Justice Column in Trégranteur.
A rural town of about 3,000 inhabitants located between Josselin and Ploërmel, Guégon has a rich built heritage: chapels, manor houses, fountains, and wayside crosses dot its territory. The Easter flea market is a special time to discover this region and participate, through your purchases, in the preservation of this remarkable heritage.
