Between the towns of Lapte and Grazac, in the south of Haute-Loire, the locality of Les Garnas has become over the years one of the unmissable meeting points for flea market enthusiasts in the department. Every Sunday from March to October, this large open-air market brings together around 230 exhibitors in a pleasant natural setting, halfway between the Tence basin and the Velay plateaus.
With its approximately 230 available pitches, the Brocante des Garnas offers one of the largest concentrations of second-hand goods in the region. Professional dealers, antique dealers, and individuals mingle at various stalls offering antique furniture, tableware, tools, books, clothing, trinkets, decorative items, collectibles, and many other treasures. Every Sunday is an invitation to discovery, with stalls that are renewed and sellers who succeed each other week after week.
The pitches, with an area of 24 m² and the possibility of parking a vehicle, are offered at a price of €8, all inclusive. A hot drink is offered to each participating exhibitor, a detail that reflects the care taken in welcoming sellers. Facilities are available: on-site toilets and completely free visitor parking.
The Garnas site benefits from an advantageous location between two towns in the Lignon valley, easily accessible from Tence, Yssingeaux, and the Loire valley. Surrounded by meadows and woods, the open-air setting is pleasant and spacious, allowing visitors to move around easily even on the busiest days. This market, which combines flea market, car boot sale, and vegetable market depending on the edition, is a benchmark Sunday event for the inhabitants of the entire Lignon basin and beyond.
