Every first weekend of July, Cahuzac-sur-Vère celebrates its village festival. The Cahuzacois festival committee organizes a full three-day program — rides, concerts, brass bands, country meals, and dances — with the big Sunday flea market at its center, drawing bargain hunters from across the northern Tarn.
A village in the Gaillac vineyard
Located between Gaillac and Cordes-sur-Ciel, Cahuzac-sur-Vère is a typical street-village of the Gaillac wine region, backed by the causse and crossed by the Vère. Place d'Hautpoul, where the flea market takes place, is lined with half-timbered houses and plane trees, the ideal setting for an outdoor flea market.
What you will find
About 200 private sellers offer second-hand clothing and shoes, toys and games, books, crockery, knick-knacks, small furniture, vinyl records, garden tools, postcards, old papers, and curiosities. The range is wide and prices are gentle, as is typical of Tarn village flea markets.

The event runs from 8 am to 6 pm. Arrive early for the morning cool and the best bargains. Refreshments and meals are offered by the festival committee. Use your visit to explore the Gaillac Wine Route or visit nearby Cordes-sur-Ciel, 15 minutes away.
