Lapte, a rural commune in the Sucs du Haut-Lignon region of Haute-Loire, hosts a car boot sale every first Sunday of May organized by the local leisure center, La Cabane des Robinsons. Located in the municipal gymnasium, at 268 rue du Docteur Tassy, this spring event has become a popular meeting place for local residents and flea market enthusiasts from neighboring towns.

La Cabane des Robinsons: a leisure center serving families

La Cabane des Robinsons is the after-school and holiday leisure center for the commune of Lapte (and its neighbor Grazac). Managed by a team of animators and volunteers, it offers activities throughout the year for children and families. This annual car boot sale is both a fundraising activity for the center's programs and a moment of connection between the families who use the facility and the villagers.

A well-equipped gymnasium to welcome exhibitors and visitors

The Lapte gymnasium, located on rue du Docteur Tassy, offers comfortable covered space for indoor exhibitors. The price difference between indoor (€2.50/m) and outdoor (€2/m) allows everyone to choose the option that best suits their needs and the weather. With around 80 exhibitors expected, the event is human-sized, giving it an intimate and friendly atmosphere.

Mandatory registration

Unlike many car boot sales that accept registrations on the day, the La Cabane des Robinsons event requires mandatory pre-registration. Food on site
