Car boot sale, producers and craftspeople during Los Masos Spring Day in the Conflent
The Los Masos Spring Day is an original event combining bargain hunting, local flavours and children's activities. The car boot sale, open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., welcomes private and semi-professional exhibitors who display clothes, toys, crockery, books, trinkets and small furniture on 6-metre pitches priced at €10. Alongside, a farmers' and craftspeople's market showcases local know-how: Conflent fruit and vegetables, cheeses, charcuterie, honey, bread, wines and artisan creations. The Estoher Educational Farm brings its animals to the delight of children, and a treasure hunt runs throughout the day for the youngest. The atmosphere is family, authentic and typical of village events in the Têt valley.
Los Masos is a rural commune of 972 inhabitants located 4 kilometres from Prades, in the Conflent, at the heart of the Têt plain and about forty kilometres from Perpignan. The village has a unique feature: it has no real town centre but is spread over four distinct hamlets — Llonat, Lloncet, Ballanet and La Sacristie — each with its own identity. This scattered layout gives it a unique countryside character, where orchards, vineyards and meadows prevail. On the horizon, the Canigó massif, sacred mountain of the Catalans rising to 2,784 metres, offers a spectacular backdrop that makes Los Masos a charming stop to discover the authentic Conflent.
