Flea Market of the Lake Festival in Chemillé-sur-Indrois, a country day with fireworks and ball
The Lake Festival of Chemillé-sur-Indrois is an annual country festival combining a flea market from the morning, fairground rides, a meal by the lake, a show, fireworks, and a dancing evening. A must-see event in the Indrois valley.
The Lake Festival of Chemillé-sur-Indrois starts at 7:30 AM with a flea market that attracts bargain hunters and strollers by the communal lake. Exhibitors - individuals and dealers - offer a varied selection: furniture, tableware, trinkets, tools, books, clothes, toys, antique linens, and curiosities. The natural setting of the lake, surrounded by greenery, gives this flea market a bucolic and relaxing atmosphere.
Chemillé-sur-Indrois is a village of about 300 inhabitants nestled in the Indrois Valley, a tributary of the Indre, in the heart of the Lochois region. The town is known for its leisure lake, its chartreuse du Liget - founded in the 12th century by Henry II Plantagenet - and its landscapes of forests and valleys. Classified among the remarkable sites of the Loire-Anjou-Touraine Regional Natural Park, the village offers an exceptional setting for a day of relaxation and discovery.
The day continues with children's fairground rides, a meal by the lake at noon, a show in the afternoon, fireworks at dusk, and a ball in the evening. Admission is free.
The Lake Festival and Flea Market of Chemillé-sur-Indrois returns in July 2026.
